Resources and events
Resources
The resources library holds manuals, spec sheets, wiring diagrams and guides shared by members.
Downloading
Open a resource and press its download button. Depending on how the site owner has set things up, you may need to log in first. Some resources link to a file held elsewhere, and others are a PDF or ZIP file stored on KeiWorld (up to 100 MB).
Resources can have several versions. The page shows the current version, and older ones stay available.
Rating
Logged-in members with a verified email can rate a resource. You cannot rate your own. Ratings help others pick the good ones.
Sharing a resource
- Choose to submit a resource.
- Fill in the title, a one-line tagline, a category, a license and a description (Markdown works).
- Add the first version: a version label such as 1.0, the file (PDF or ZIP) or a link starting with https://, and an optional changelog.
- Submit.
Please only share files you have the right to share.
New resources are held for review. A moderator checks it, and then it is published or sent back with a note. You will be notified of the outcome. While it waits, only you and the moderators can see it.
Later you can add new versions, edit the details or delete the resource. A new version from a regular member goes back for review before it replaces the current one.
Events
Events are meets and drives.
Going to an event
Open an event and choose Going or Interested. You can change your mind at any time. The page lists who is coming. Each event also has a discussion thread. Events show times in the organizer's time zone, so check it if you travel far.
Organizing an event
- Choose to create an event.
- Give it a title, a start time and optionally an end time, the time zone those times are in, a place, and an optional map link.
- Add a cover photo if you like, then publish.
Only the organizer and the moderators can edit, cancel or delete the event. When an event is canceled, everyone who answered Going or Interested gets a notification. You can switch "Updates to events you are going to" off in your notification settings. The site owner can limit event creation to the team. If so, you will see a note on the page.
