My Beat has seen a few owners since it made its way to Canada, and a fair bit of neglect. I'm slowly trying to restore it to its former glory.
Sambar owner here. The rear engine means a lovely flat floor and a better weight balance, but you will hear it all night. Insulate the bulkhead.
Thinking about a small camper on a kei van. Sambar has the rear engine and the extra headroom, Acty is mid engine and a bit more civilised. Has anyone converted either?
Check the latch microswitch near the header first, it is a common failure. A bit of contact cleaner often brings it back.
The hardtop on my 2003 Copen stops about two inches from the header and refuses to latch. The motor sounds fine. Any ideas before I pull the trim?
I will drive up from Portland the night before and stay in a hotel. Anyone else coming from that direction?
The next Seattle kei meet is on the calendar (see the event page). Use this thread for carpools, lunch plans, and who is bringing what.
I am driving up from Redmond with the Jimny. Space for one more at the front of the convoy.
